Responsibilities
  • Property Assessment: Conduct detailed on-site inspections of properties affected by disasters or emergencies. Evaluate the extent of damage and document the affected areas, identifying potential hazards and safety risks.
  • Damage Evaluation: Determine the type and severity of damage incurred by the property, considering both visible and hidden effects. This includes assessing water damage, fire damage, structural issues, and other related concerns.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates utilizing Xactimate for the mitigation and restoration services required to stabilize the property and prevent further damage. Collaborate with restoration specialists to outline the necessary scope of work and materials needed for mitigation.
  • Insurance Claims Assistance: Work closely with insurance adjusters and claim representatives to provide them with detailed Xactimate estimates and supporting documentation for the claims process. Negotiate and justify estimates when necessary to ensure a fair and timely settlement.
  • Budget Management: Analyze the costs of materials, equipment, labor, and other resources required for mitigation efforts. Develop and manage budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of property inspections, damage assessments, and estimates. Generate clear and concise reports outlining the scope of work, costs, and timelines for the mitigation project.
  • Client Communication: Communicate findings and proposed mitigation plans effectively to clients, property owners, and other stakeholders. Address any questions or concerns and provide regular updates on the progress of the mitigation process.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all mitigation efforts adhere to safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards. Prioritize the safety of both the mitigation team and the property's occupants.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with mitigation crews and project managers to ensure the efficient execution of the mitigation plan. Monitor progress and address any challenges that arise during the process.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in the mitigation and disaster restoration industry. Attend relevant training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional skills.
